You deploy HoneyPoint in your environment either as software on your existing systems and servers, as a virtual decoy host inside VMWare environments or as a stand-alone appliance with our amazing solid-state device. Once deployed, the HoneyPoints lie in wait for would be attackers, scanning malware, bot-nets, nosy insiders or other threats.

Since the HoneyPoints are not real services, any interaction  with them is suspicious at best and malicious at worst. Should anyone or anything activate one of the HoneyPoints, you immediately get email (or SMS) notification of the offending source, the intended target and just what the attacker was attempting to do.
